Will it arrive before the leaving do? +
Made to order in 2 to 4 working days, delivered free in 2 to 5 more. Ten days ahead is safe; most orders arrive within the week.
How much does a personalised gift cost? +
Gifts start at £13.99 and every price includes free UK delivery. The preview is free, so the whole team can see it before anyone pays.
How does the personalised name print work? +
Type their name, profession, years of service and where they worked — we set it in editorial type beneath a Happy Retirement headline and show you the layout instantly. No photo needed. When you order, the design is rendered at full print resolution and made to order in the UK.
How does the photo portrait work? +
Upload a photo of the retiree, their workplace, their boat or their garden, pick one of five painting styles — oil, watercolour, charcoal, pop art or impressionist — and our engine repaints it. The preview is free (three a day) and carries a watermark. When you order, the artwork is re-rendered at full gallery resolution and printed.
Will the printed artwork look like the preview? +
Yes — the final render uses the same style instructions as your preview, at much higher resolution. Small details may differ slightly because the artwork is regenerated, but the style and composition match the preview.
What can I put on the print? +
Their name (up to 40 characters), profession, years of service and where they worked — the last three are optional. We typeset exactly what you enter, so double-check spelling before you pay; we can't reprint free of charge where the details supplied were wrong.
How long does delivery take? +
Each gift is made to order in the UK: production takes 2–4 working days, then delivery 2–5 working days. Most UK orders arrive within a week. Order a week and a half ahead of the leaving do to be safe.
What do you do with uploaded photos? +
Uploads are used only to produce your preview and your print. Unpurchased uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days; previews after 2 days. We never use your photos for anything else.
Can I return a personalised gift? +
If your order arrives damaged or wrong, we reprint or refund — photos within 30 days to hello@theretirementgiftco.com. Because personalised items are made to your specification, the usual 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply once production starts (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg 28(1)(b)).
